Took this as the sun was about to expire for the day on a recent climbing excursion to Foster Falls on Monteagle Mountain. We seem to really like sunsets.

A Walk In The Woods for Marvelous Martes

We went to Gatlinburg to our family's cabin for a few days and took the liberty of making the 10.4 mile round trip up Alum Cave Bluff Trail to the top of Mount LeConte and back. We snapped a few gems that are Marvelous Martes worthy. And we almost died. We need to start exercising more.

We took this at Daytona Beach on our way back from Disney World last month. Some dude peddled up and parked his fishin' vessel right by us. This was shortly after another stray biker asked us if we wanted to buy some marijuana.

Isn't she beautiful? My sweet cousin Laura and her husband Jon are the proud parents of this little sunshine. She was born on this past Sunday around noon. She was 7.9 lbs & I'm not sure on the length. Nathan & I couldn't think of a better picture for Marvelous Martes. Hope you all enjoy! This is the sunset we saw as we drove back into Clarksville last Tuesday coming home from Atlanta. Are we getting better at this picture takin' thang or are we just in the right spot at the right time? Well either way I have the best wife ever so it really doesn't matter. Buuuuuuuuut, if it did matter, I would probably finish reading the book we bought last Christmas that is supposed to show you how to use your Nikon D5000 camera, which I think I am going to start reading again. So, upon reading it, I suppose it will in fact matter whether or not we are getting better at taking pictures or if we just happen to be in the right place at the right time, but, but my friends, but, it will not negate the fact that I have the best wife ever. So thar.

So Carrie's parents were trying to catch some cat that has been living and procreating under their porch when we met Myrtle. And what a magic moment it was. Just look at that face! Well it's that time again. Another marvelous martes for us to show off how not good at photography we are! We went climbing this past weekend in southern Illinois and ran into this little guy. So here's our photo for the week!

Carrie decided that we are going to start posting a picture up every Tuesday, hopefully a really cool one! We bought a photography book to help us figure out how to use our camera (we have a Nikon d5000) because we can't get much past the auto setting, so maybe as we get better with it we'll come up with some cool pics! Really we like photography, we just aren't good at it....yet.

January 26th, 2010 - A couple lil' gerbera daisies I bought for Carrie.

April 6th, 2010 - We passed this old building probably 20 times before Carrie finally noticed how superbly cool it looks. It's in some really small town between Murfreesboro and McMinville (I think it's called Centertown?). But it's a small town like the speed limit is 25 mph small town.

July 20th, 2010 - Some kind of mammoth moth on the front bumper of the 1957 Chevy Ambulance at the Funeral Home.

August 10th, 2010 - Country Cemetery in KY

August 17th, 2010 - We had dinner out on the roof with our friend and cohort Sarah and snapped this picture of one of our dinner candles.
